Radio Control Toy Store

Whether you are new to the FrontPage program or are a more advanced user, we feel you will find our templates easy to use and modify. We've tried to make all of the instructions easy to follow. All you have to do is delete our content and add your own text and images. Easy!

Style Sheets and Classes:

Each table cell within this template uses a CSS class to format the information contained within it. Our CSS file is "commented" to help you identify locate and identify specific items. You can also find which class was used by right-clicking in a table cell and selecting Cell Properties. In the window that appears, click on the Style Button. Under "Class" you will see the name of the name of the class we used. In FrontPage 2003, you can easily see which classes and/or IDs are applied to specific areas if you look at the "Quick Tag Selector" bar.

Newsletter Sign-Up:

The newsletter subscription is active. Those who subscribe will be directed to the Thank You page and their results are saved in the private folder where you can retrieve the results at a later time. You can also choose to have the results emailed to you. You can find more details about forms in the FrontPage help files.

Your Name Here and Slogan:

We have used plain text for the "Your Name Here" at the top of each page. The font, color, and size are set within the "yourname" class in the style sheet. You can easily change these attributes by modifying the CSS file. We have placed this text in an include page (includes/logo.htm) so you only have to change it once and it will be correct on all of your pages. We have also placed the "Your Slogan or Tag Line Here" on the slogan.htm page within the includes folder.

Calendar:

The calendar shown on each page is a javascript which automatically builds and displays the calendar showing the current date. The calendar is placed on an include page called calendar.htm. If you wish to modify the calendar size or colors, you will need to edit the calendar.js file included with this template package. For additional help, please contact the javascript author. Information is contained within the calendar.js file. NOTE: The calendar is not visible in Design/Normal view.

Working With Images:

We have given you a way to easily add your own pictures and have them float to either the left or right of the page.

Aligning an image to the left: Once your image has been inserted on the page, right-click on the image and select Picture Properties from the menu. In the dialog box that appears, click on the Style button. In this new dialog box, enter the name “imageleft” - without the quotes - into the area next to class. Click OK to close the dialog boxes. Your image will now have the double border and be positioned on the left side of the page.

Aligning an image to the right: Once your image has been inserted on the page, right-click on the image and select Picture Properties from the menu. In the dialog box that appears, click on the Style button. In this new dialog box, enter the name “imageright” - without the quotes - into the area next to class. Click OK to close the dialog boxes. Your image will now have the double border and be positioned on the right side of the page.

Navigation Links:

While we have used a combination of the standard FrontPage web-bot navigation and include pages to make your choices a bit more flexible:

  • The main site links shown in the upper left rectangle are on the mainnav.htm page within the includes folder. We typed in the links by hand and then hyperlinked them to the appropriate pages.
  • The secondary links in the main image area use the FrontPage web-bot set to either Same Level or Child Level as appropriate.
  • The links and copyright information at the bottom of each page is found on the footer.htm page within the includes folder.
  • The links in the left sidebar area are set to "child pages under home". A secondary link bar is added to denote "child pages" or "same level" as appropriate.

Copyright Information:

The copyright information can be easily changed by opening the footer.htm page located in the include folder. You will change the information once and it will be changed on all of the pages within your site. Once the template is purchased, you may delete our credit and site link.
