Gas powered RC Trucks can go anywhere.  They go fast, don't fade after 10 minutes of use like a battery powered electric, and they go up and over almost anything.

You'll almost feel guilty having this much fun.  For adults or kids, Nitro remote control trucks are simply a blast to use.  Watch our field testing video below!

Nitro RC Truck

Gas powered remote control trucks can take a pounding.  With huge, stubby inflatable 6.3" tires, the Tmaxx from Traxxas is one of our favorites.

Tackle monster hills, thrash dirt and rocks, and the giant wide tires provide massive grip & control.  These trucks can go 45 mph!

It's even got an aluminum chassis and a skid-plate to glide over rocks.  It literally is like a 1/10 scale real truck!

Gas Powered Remote Controlled vs. Electric Trucks

"Nitro" powered trucks refer to the fuel used in gas engine powered remote controlled trucks.  Unlike battery electric vehicles you'll find at Walmart or Toys R Us, Nitro RC Trucks are built for performance, durability, and power.

If you've grown tired of 'disposable' battery powered trucks, which look cool in the box but literally disintegrate after even light use, then you'll want to consider a nitro RC.  Where most battery powered electrics have juice to run for only 10-15 of steadily declining power, gas RC run without degradation

Plus, they pulverize just about any obstacle – I've literally never had a hill (even huge grades) it can't maul over or brutalize.

Nitro RC are also extremely durable.  This isn't cheap plastic construction like a $35 Walmart pretend toy.  These are made from all-aluminum & high-tech gears with auto-shifting transmission & torque.  Body panels can easily be replaced, tires upgraded, and if repairs are needed it's easy to order & fix.

I use mine with my 9 and 11-year old sons, though make no mistake — I consider it mine!  My wife things it hilarious, but we have a blast.

It's a great gift idea too — with prices that typically range from $300 – $550, depending on options, size, and extra parts.

Compare that to about $75-$100 for the average 1/10 scale electric truck at Toys R Us and it's amazing how affordable a high-performance RC Truck like these are.  Try one.  You'll be glad you did. :)

I envy the kids nowadays. When I was a kid growing up in a village in the Philippines, I could only manage to make my own toys by carving driftwood and shaped it like a dump truck.  I would used a leash to drag it around the village. Today, toys can be manipulated using remote-control.

The price is not too bad for the value.  I prefer the 1/5 scale.  He will be more happy with that scale.

Seriously these things are as close to real trucks as you get. On our gas vs. electric debate – my opinion is the gas is vastly more powerful.

I have always wanted gas or nitro powered RC, but all i could afford was a simple electric.  I have raced many times at the local track here in my town.  Do you guys prefer having a gas or nitro powered car now?
